NIBTT PAYS FUNERAL GRANTS IN 24 HOURS

The National Insurance Board now pays funeral grants within 24 hours. NIBTT is reviewing its systems and procedures to improve the delivery time for all NIS benefits, starting with the funeral grant.  This initiative from the Board is in response to the needs of NIBTT's customers. The grant is currently valued at $4,000 and is paid on the same day once applications are received by 2:00pm. Applications received after 2:00pm will be paid on the following day, and cheques can be cashed at any branch of the Republic Bank.

If you have any difficulty in understanding your role and function with respect to National Insurance, you should visit the most convenient National Insurance Service Centre, where the Manager and staff will be pleased to assist you.   In addition, an Authorised Officer will be pleased to provide you with further explanations or assistance upon request.
